Oil/Collage
Somebody I know tries to get
pregnant via
IVF.
Most couples just assume that having a
baby when the time is right will be a natural
part of their journey together. However, the
reality is that a growing number of people are
struggling with infertility problems.
Infertility affects about 6.1 million people in
the United States, about 10% of men and
women of reproductive age.
New and
advanced technologies to help a woman
become pregnant include in vitro fertilization
(IVF).
After going through several unsuccessful IVF
cycles, there are many things that run through
her head that are hard to grasp.
That
being said, one of the hardest parts of IVF and
fertility treatments in general is playing the
waiting game.
If my friends only could be assured that one... just one... IVF cycle worked...
This collage is meant for all
of
those
who
are in the same situation:
Hang in
there!

Excellent reproduction of your words in a "outstanding" collage. I feel using Art to keep people aware is one of our responsibilities as an artist.......Kudo's to a wonderful piece of Art !Anneke Hut 02 Jun 2009
Red, the colour of life, yellow the colour of spring, what a nice combination. It's so good that you put this subject in the spotlight in your own spectacular way!David Holcombe 01 Jun 2009
This is an interesting collage on an interesting theme. You help a lot with the explanation, which puts the piece in context. It also makes the "andante serioso" more meaningful. The slow serious passage of time.Stanley Layman 01 Jun 2009
There are a lot of people that have children they don't want. There are those also that adopt children with no real commitment to them. For every two shelter children there is a couple without a child. People who adopt are usually age, race and gender specific. LIke they're going to a grocery store to pick out produce. Finding someone to share your life with takes time only if you want it to. The trick is learning to be tolerant enough to accept the idiosyncrosies of others. Accept and grow with it! My cousin and her husband had already raised two boys when they started to be foster parents of two more boys one they adopted. The other went back to his family. They have since adopted another boy. They were able to provide a caring home. They specified age only 3-11. It worked for them. Great composition and thought!Marika Antal 01 Jun 2009
