Montparnasse Cemetery

Montparnasse Cemetery is a famous cemetery in the Montparnasse quarter of Paris. It is the eternal home of many of France's intellectual and artistic elite. Jean-Paul Sartre, French philosopher & novelist lies buried here. His funeral was attended by 50,000 mourners. Simone de Beauvoir, feminist philosopher & author, is buried next to him. The photos were taken on April 14, 2009.
