This is the first time to catch this interesting tree with blossoms and they are really beautiful. About the time I learned to call it Sophora, just learned it has been reclassified as Styphnolobium affine because it lacks nitrogen fixing bacteria on the roots (common to legumes). So, it is an edible like a cashew which is also a legume?
