You always have such "intense" descriptive evaluations about your work.....The only word that comes to mind, my dear is "PASSION"......you have such a passionate & intense vocabulary when representing your Art..... I Just Love it....... I love PASSION in an Artist ! And, you are that.....PASSION ! ! !

Indeed it can be seen through my creations. You know after reading you, I thought about your words.. And I thought some more about my passionate nature in some other fields/ways, and thought some more, and I'm inspired to do some kind of an artwork connected to emotions. Symbolic in the "original" design you create.....on a lot of your work..... I see the Middle East represented in the line adaption to each little design which surrounds the main themes...... I always sEE the influences which are truly Israeli in nature. I love the little curly-que's and line tidbits that fulfill the beginning interior piece you start with..... I hope I explain myself correctly, so you can understand me...... Thom Roslan.

Artist Reply: Well, Thom ;-)... I always enjoy reading your insightful & professional comments - Indeed I do. The "original" design was created by me in 1987, I think :-). It was ( motifs ) inspired by actually a Nylon fabric that was given to the family in the 60's... from Parisian relatives, that were making fashion and had a boutique in PARIS. (- Stylized a bit differently.) The colour combination is totally ME, although there was bit of inspiration on this part too. But my colour use is much deeper, and richer, more sophisticated...and I chose less colours. And, I tell you something more, I perhaps live all my life in this country that I love.. And I know some other textile designers learned with ME... I think I was different in my colour use then others. In my designs, I don't feel myself taking Israeli influence particularly.. NO :-)... Some may say that the turquoise is a Middle East colour... perhaps... but not only. There is logic that a person living in some place will be influenced in one way or another... perhaps there's hidden part in my work, that is israeli and I don't see it, which is ME, PURE ISRAELI :-)!

Artist Reply: Hey... and another fact is that my mom Hadassa, used to have once a closet full with all kinds of fabrics, most came usually from France, Italy or Germany ;-).. Few fabrics were also made in Israel... There are few rare fabrics left.. I'll try to scan to you later perhaps late evening the original piece of inspiration, that is not mine but came from Paris, to inspire my ORIGINAL piece. thanks again.

Artist Reply: :-) Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color. Thanks so much... I would love to dream in purples :-)...
