Paris: Days End Place Du Tertre Montmartre Image 2

This is several weeks into the painting. I painted the sky in last night and refined it tonight. I am presently trying to decide how I am emphasizing the importance of each structure and how it will effect the composition. The structures in the far background will be more obscure than the cafe's, and art sales elements. The greatest contrast and draw to the eye will be the interior and exterior elements of the restaurants. The figures in the foreground and towards the background will be silhouetted up against the flood lighted buildings and highlighted by the street lamps. Pray that this all turns out the way I hope it will, I am really very fond of this painting.

This painting is fascinating already,Stanton! I am waiting with bated breath for the remainder and hope it all goes as planned. Watercolors can be trying and treacherous, but you seem to have a handle on them!
