Landing

The Bald Eagle in this shot does'nt have dirty feathers, but is at the age of around five years and will have the white haed and tail feathers next year. They namely don't get all white untill the age of six. He/she is landing on the beach of Kachemak Bay near Homer in Alaska. Shot taken on thursday afternoon the 4th of March 2004 around 6.00pm, just before sunset. Taken with Nikon 70-200mm VR lens. You can see that there is some movement in the tips of the wing and tail feathers. This is because I did (on purpose) use shutter speed of 1/320th of a second with aperture on 5.6 ©Proframe Photography http://www.proframe.org
