A Brand New Day

While in Burgundy, France, each morning I would dine at this window, graced by hydrangea overlooking hilltops in the distance. The fresh breezes were a great compliment to the beauty I enjoyed. Traditional hand-made, gold metal leaf over wood, linen lined frame.

OH how wonderful............I can feel the fresh aircoming through this painting..................such an engaging composition, wonderfully painted and with such a feeling of wide open space beyond :o))

Artist Reply: Dear Jacki and All who have commented: Thanks for your immediate responses to this piece. It was an intimate spot where I had breakfast each morning with two of my private students. Had to paint this location and glad many of you noticed the mountains distant to the window. With the bold pinks in the flowers in tandem with Tuscan architecture of orange/windows of pale blue, all created a warmth without sentimentality for me. Appreciate your seeing the openness while still painted from indoors.
