One my personal favorites, this painting was done in Central Virginia. Following a substantial snowstorm, I found this old cottage tucked in the trees along a road I frequently traveled. Until that snow came I never saw the cottage. As the sun was rising the little house simply glowed as the clouds departed.

You have certainly mastered the medium. Your work is wonderful..... makes me want to dig out my pastels, but it would take years of study to achieve what you have with this portfolio.Gerard Kramer 04 Feb 2009

I can feel the pervading stillness, hear the snow crunch under my feet... I can't wait to get inside and shake the snow off my boots and mittens, and warm up!Lynn De Serres 28 Jan 2009

Let me add yet another "Beautiful." This is so realistic, I feel like I'm standing in the scene, about to go inside for a cup of hot chocolate. Every element of this picture is right on the money. Love the colors. Bravo!Edward Bajgerowicz 27 Jan 2009
