James Audubon and Shadows on the Teche (2008)

James Audubon lived in the plantation home, Shadows-on-the-Teche, while he was working on his masterpiece, Birds of America. Here he is show holding paint brushes instead of the gun his portrayed as holding in his famous portrait. This is a small tribute to a remarkable man.

Nice you have chosen to focus on his other side, David. As it has been said, "There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us,' that it ill behooves any of us to talk about the rest of us."
