President John F. Kennedy's Sister, Kathleen, married the Duke of Devonshire and they lived here. NO PRINTS OF THIS ARE FOR SALE!!!! THIS IS NOT FOR SALE AT ALL!
Yes very nice shot. Located in Derbyshire England
In 1944 Kathleen Kennedy, sister of John F. Kennedy, married William Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington, the elder son of the 10th Duke of Devonshire. However, he was killed in action in Belgium during the war in 1944, and she died in a plane crash in 1948.
Artist Reply: Thank you so very much, Richard, for refreshing my mind on this history. I did know it at one time, and I remembered that Kathleen died in a plane crash, but I had forgotten all else. I really appreciate your info here. Take care, Sharon
This is a fantastic old building My last visit was sometime in the 1970s.As i remember we went walking in the gardens,it was a hot summers day that was also the last hot summers day we have had since then .Thanks for the memory Sharon
