When I walk my dog at night around my small town, I hear all the dogs howling at the slightest noise and I feel sad for them the way they are cooped up all day and night and rarely let free. So they salute the Dogstar when he comes out.

Artist Reply: Thank you Ruth, I grew up in a town where the dogs ran free and they could be a nusiance sometimes and they got run over by cars but they had freedom and that means a lot to a dog.
