What a wonderful scene Frank...........I don't know if the name is for the same reason but there was a colony (long since deserted) here in Louisburgh. It was a community of exiles who were driven from the village after converting to Protestantism in order to receive food aid during the Famine.........

Artist Reply: Being a relative stranger to Dingle I am not entirely up to speed on the history. Your explanation could be correct and I thank you for your kind comments.

Ahhhhh dear Frankie-boy.... I feel your longing for this wonderful land and atmosphere you've painted here. Try to start some ACEO's with these images. You'll love it!! Frank, wishing you, you're lovely wife and daughters a wonderful and joyful weekend! It's good to have you here on AW (and I mean it!!) Love, Joy, and lots of laughter indeed ~OLGA

Artist Reply: I may have lost Ireland temporarily, but I have found, in the losing, so many lovely people like yourself, great artists and lovely souls, that it is worth the exile to feel your love. Thank you Olga and i hope that soon, you will dance a hornpipe.
