I had my Qtip 19 years. And this was the first of several poems I wrote about him and paintings I painted of him. This is an acrylic painting I painted, "Qtip #2" and a poem, "Qtip", I combined to create this inspirational piece. Hope you enjoy!
What a sweet way to remember your precious boy. I had a white cat many years ago and did a painting of him. His name was Salem and he had one blue eye and one green eye. Boy kitties are such lovers aren't they?
I lost my cat of 15 years a couple of years back. If I could find a female as sweet and understanding as 'Squeaky' I'd be in Heaven---or I'd be a cat. :)
What a sweet poem and image! These are so lovely. I love his name too! Reminds me of a cat I used to have. His name was Ghosty and when we went to bed, he would put his paw in my hand! I really miss him!
Oh Sharon, your white Qtip reminds me of my friend many years ago who was a black feline buddy named "Wackett." I used to sing to him to the tune of "Peg O' My Heart." He even fought off an attacker once and saved me. I have always maintained animals are as special in God's eyes as we are, and special angelike friends on Earth. You have remaineded me of rich beauty in my life here. Thank you!
That is a fantastic work of art Sharon and the peom and the sentement are understandable. I had one old cat that adopted me many many years ago and she was with me 100 percent of the time when I was home. Now I have a dog named Baxter and he is the same way. Keep up the wonderful work
Sharon, I share the feeling. I have also a sweet and handsome hairy little fellow here. Great tribute to a good friendship, a beautiful painting and poem.
What a grand name you had for this grand fellow. Sounds like he gave you many blessings with his love and that you returned it to him. What a fitting picture you did for him and your love for each other with that heart just touching in front of him, grand memories you have to treasher for ever nice work
Love the painting and the poem! Here at my house we feed 7 cats that are strays people drop them off in the neighborhood. We have a great love for animals!
Such lovely sentiment for a precious family member. Pets are so in tune with emotions, like Qtip they share our most intimate moments with their own sincerity and without judgement. Wonderful !!
HO... Sharon... so much emotions... and I so much know these feelings... what a beautiful cat... I didn't wrote poems... yet I painted few of my cats also. Love your work... and excited to read YOU.
