ENTOMOLOGICAL STUDIES - ink sketchings

This Saturday morning, (May 17, 2008) was the designated time to research Malaysian jungle, Indonesian and Papua New Guinea insects, work out corporal variables [Head, Thorax, Abdomenal details] and repair the legs of my own collected Phasma Order camoflauged "stick bugs". These are REAL Arthropod tropic insects which had been damaged by adults. PHOTO B- displays a few I fixed. My favorite parts of the day, besides interesting data gathering and drawing, were when several curious children would come up to my table to carefully touch the specimens, look at my sketches, smile and ask various geographical and hilarious unorthodox bug questions, I love kids! Different experienced field biologists, Entomologists, teachers and parents were also present. I had brought various personal tools from home, pre-cut labels, tweezer magnifier and adhesives, as well as the current ABRI sketch chronicle. BIO-QUIP MPC HJR
