Dark Heart Awakening

It was three nights from the mountain meeting, that he a woke, His head reeling as a flood of memories came bursting Through. He knew who he was, where he had come from. His Head ached from the flow of information streaming in. He laid back piecing things together. He knew now why his People had been recalled. There had been a galactic war. Their Side had conceded Rigel to the enemy, as part of the peace Treaty. All Earther’s had to leave Rigel. If the Truman had Thought that our security forces had rained hell on the En. Wait until they got a taste of the nastiness coming their way. Where the Earther’s had tried to live in harmony with the races Of Rigel, those coming now would come as conquers, Killing Enslaving for the sport of it. He saddled and mounted Pain. If he were to get off this world he would have to move fast. Fear gripped him. He didn’t want to be here when the Ionians Arrived. Now other memories returned as well. There was another, one In the South. Though she had not used her wierding ways to Summons him. She had protected him. Sent the beast he now rode. The armor the weapons, they were her fathers. She loved Him, he knew that. She would never try to convince him to stay. She like the rest of her Truman kin, had no idea why he had been called home. That had been the Torture that had driven him into the waste. Love was love, life was life, and his fear was real He could taste it. Those coming were nothing to trifle with. The coast was a day away; he pushed his mount on. The North The Stars and safety of his Federated worlds. South the Truman lands, and a woman there he loved. Wyndora had no Idea how easy that choice was. Come Pain we haven’t much time the ship will leave very soon.
