These immense skies have such a melancholy, almost desolate feel to them. There is just that hint of humanity (the windmill), that situates the viewer in a specific location. Always very evocative.
We had a brief journey into Holland recently, Nelly, and I was thinking about your paintings while I was there! We missed the sunset though, as we were back in Belgium by then! Lovely work!
