The large plains hold my attention, give portrays the impressing of dignity and restrained absolute power. Certainly with this majestic appearance, one feel the desire to be there,in the sun, on the mountain.
Don't know what it is about this painting that just grabs you. The lights and shadows are just perfect. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a photo.
I love trees and how they speak to us and how our world would be nothing without them. tables, houses, paper and the list goes on into infinity. I wrote a children's book about trees and what they bring to us, called "the rings of secrets, as told by the old oak tree. i illustrated it as well. thanks for sharing this art with us. its awesome.
Great job, Sharon! I painted a scene from Mt Magazine too, but had a lot of trouble making the rocks look like rocks. You have avoided that problem entirely!!!
