This image to me shows the dominance of soldiers over the "mass" civilian populace. The little girl faces an unknown person dressed in garb she doesn't understand......especially the rifle pointed down to the ground near her face & body.....even though that is a "passive" pose for a soldier's presence.

This may be a passive pose for the soldier but I am sure that a child in this condition would not recognise it as such. A hand reaching out would have ment so much more. Still you can see a lot of emotion in this just because of the little girl.
