Wandering along a path, I was sure I saw the tree move. I looked up but could see nothing cept treebark. Then with only the slightest indication she moved her head.. OMG its a Great Horned Owl... how lucky I felt to be able to see one so close to me. I steadied the camera and just as I went to take the shot..this tiny fuzzy head popped up beside Mom. It turned out that there were 3 owlets with her. I also located the father several trees down but he was to well hidden on the branches for any kind of clear shot. Taken in Ladner,B.C.

You are very lucky to see her and the owlet, how exciting that would have been - wonderful capture - I hope to be lucky enough one day to capture 'any' owl - they are such beautiful birds!gerry logan 21 Jun 2008
