The was taken a couple of years ago, in the fall, I was snapping pictures of the surf when the freighter appeared on the horizon.

Artist Reply: Thank you. Actually, the main purpose of most of my scenic photgraphs is reference material for paintings. There are a few ahead of this one on my list. I am currently working on a painting of an old, abandoned lighthouse.
