Sacre Coeur (2008)

Sacre Coeur dominates one of the hills of Paris. Most people take pictures from the front, but this picture was from the back. It will be given to the American Heart Association for a fund raiser. I preferred my painting of the two arts, but that was probably too anatomical.

David, This is a stunning painting and a wonderful subject for the AHA fund raiser,. If you are trying to avoid an anatomical piece, however, there may be better subjects than domes and spires! That's my idea of a joke. I actually find this a very compelling painting and find the red wall a brilliant way to lend intimacy to the setting.

A very siplified and satisfying image. The sky and building showing through the tree is a nice gift.
