The Quail was done on an 8x10 canvas. I saw a quail in my yard and snaped a picture of him and had to paint this little bird. We have them around the ranch and love their colors. This for spring and how life keeps going.

I love watching the quail run around my yard, this is a great portrait of theses wonderful little birds : ) Did you know they choose a mate and then they stay together for life : )
