The "Cerro de la EStrella" (Hill of the Star) in the Iztapalapa borough of MexicoCity has a long religious history that goes back at least to the times of the Aztecs (1325-1521) where they lit he "new fire" celebrating the beginning of a new cycle every 52 years. In that same place the Crucifixion of Christ is represented each year attracting over a million visitors, according to the organizers. I intend to give a general aesthetic view of the event through these images. April 2003
