I dragged myself out of bed at the beach house a year or so ago and this scene took my breath away. I ran to get my camera to try to capture the complex sky and colors; I couldn't wait to paint it. Edisto Island is one of my favorite places on earth. To me it represents family and peace of mind. We certainly are a noisy crowd, all crammed into one huge house--and we all come home burned. But we wouldn't trade it for anything. Hope you enjoy this scene. Please don't distribute this image commercially!
