Black Dog

This is by far the most interesting piece of work I have done lately. This dog is entirely made of tiny pieces of ripped paper that I have glued together. The dog is dimensional, I tried to make a Lab but he ended up looking more like a Rottweiler. The paper I used was unique too, it had leaves and fibers in it which I used to create the lighter parts, like his head outline and his eyebrows. I painted his tongue and his pupils and nose with paint. For the corners I used real preserved ferns which I drybrushed with gold. This piece measures 11"x14". I have added a close up so you can see his details a little better. Thanks for looking.

Amazing work. I can only imagine the outcome if I were to try something like that! He does look like a happy Rottweiler.
