You can see in my portfolio the photo of Settendown Creek in the fall which inspired this painting, among others. I wanted to capture the shimmery ripples of water which bounced light and colors around; the leaves floating on the surface water were an added bonus, compositionally. Fall is my favorite time of the year, and these images from my beloved creek hopefully show you why.
