This photo of our eldest cat, Honey, recently tied for second place, Adult Amateur Category, in a local pet photo contest. In recognition, it was framed and displayed at the beautiful new Flower Mound Animal Shelter facility. Very exciting since it is my first photography award in a juried competition.

I LOVE MAINE COON CATS!!! This one looks so much like the "Minky" we had years ago. Their personality can't be beat.

Artist Reply: My husband was the second adopter (12+ years ago) and others have thought she looked like a Maine Coon; she may have been the runt of the litter as she's not as large as they are described. She's a real sweetie and still gives the 2-year-old kitties a tussle :) Thanks for the kind words!!
