It's always fun to discover another hideaway for shore birds surrounded by concrete and traffic. This area had quite a dense screen of willows, scrubby trees and tall weeds with an occasional clearing for a stalking photographer.

Artist Reply: thank you, Tracey!! what's really sad is how much trash there was all along the banks of this creek, both from trash getting tossed out of cars (grrrrr) and washed into every single waterway and actual dumping...there was a load on the other bank that was cropped from the photo; I appreciate your comments!
