I took the photo of a friends home the day after a night snowstorm hit. Carolina January Snow. I grew up in northeast Iowa. After leaving Iowa for warming places, I never thought I would get so excited to see a winter storm again. My car lights revealed a flurry of glimmering snow flakes on a mission as they flew on the night sky. Seeing the snow again was like coming home.

This is a beautiful shot. It's hard to imagine snow like this in South Carolina, but then there were some flakes in the air here in Florida a couple of weeks ago!
