Two Ducks and a Swan's Tail

©Delores J. Knowles 2008 -- This situation made me laugh and I wanted to share it. I was at a city park which surrounds a small lake that attracts waterfowl including swans and ducks. I was sitting on the bank taking pictures of some gorgeous swans, and I noticed these two female Mallards that were standing on the bank obviously engaged in a morning gossip session. Every time a swan would swim by, they would turn and look at each other as if to say "So what's the big deal about being a swan?" They were precious! Photographed in Polk County, Florida.

I agree with them. I think the ducks are better looking. Great photo. I love the colors on these mallards.
