This coyote was too lazy to follow his friends (there were 9 of them) to go "hunting" for food so he stayed with me and River, hoping to get some ore food as I gave him half of my lunch a few minutes before the shot. Or, perhaps he was simply not hungry anymore as he played with River afterwards.
