Pebbles was a dog that meant a lot to
a family and was commissioned as a
Christmas present for her owner.
Made with acrylics on clayboard; 11 x
14 inches.
You mentioned that Pebbles was a dog. Does this mean that this little angel is no longer with this family? If so how sad. You did an amazing job with this portrait. The paint strokes are done perfectly to create realistic fur. Awesome job.
Artist Reply: Yes, unfortunately. :( But I was told that she was a very special part of their family for several years. I would like to highly reccomend the book "Painting Animals" by Christophe Drochon; his work is amazing and the book was a huge help for painting this picture. Thank you all for the comments. :)
Hi Christy, what a wonderful present and what a sweet dog this must have been for the owner. I love the way you've painted the fur and the beautiful eyes.
