This is a lot of fun. Copies of originals are ways to learn about technique. This is a bit different since you substitute someone else in the same, elegant pose. Very interesting.

Artist Reply: Thank you. I actually did not know this models pose was Vermeer (or who he was) when I painted it. Fortunately a friend provided some education, which the internent expanded apon. I visited your page and your drawings are very interesting. I wish I had a book for them to illustrate... Thanks again, Dixie
