Stony Point Lighthouse. Hudson River, New York

from an earlier sketch... did this as a quick warm-up, loosen up exercise... before I started on a commission job.

Excellent, Great style and Professional Skills. The thing with portraiture is less is more it's the balance of getting likeness without over doing it like with your work mind drawing and painting all my 74 years helps.

good idea to loosen up (albeit this is rather finished and wonderful as is!) - commission work has a way of choking the life out of artists. you don't seem to have that trouble!
