Somewhere in Space

Color and texture create this vast array of images that fuel the imagination. It looks like a map of an alien landscape offering the viewer the freedom to interpret what he or she perceives. The more you look at this complex tapestry of interwoven images, the more you will see in this dynamic and powerful environment. What you can project is infinite and that is the beauty of abstract works that stimulate the imagination. At first glance, I saw a large blue butterfly with beautiful colored wings in the center of the landscape. I am always interested in knowing what you see.

Love your barrk images. Did you know Leonardo da Vince used to look at the damp on walls to see divine landscapes and wars etc etc. May 2008 be very creative for you

Artist Reply: I love your interesting information Ann. I did not know this, but I can understand how the damp walls would create a myriad of imagery. I perceive so many icons in nature. I appreciate your informative comment and am a fan of your beautiful works of art.

I didn't see the butterfly right away, but you're right it's there Julie. My initial reaction was a beautiful oriental rug. Love those colors.

there appear to be lots of eyes in the areas separated by blue, also in the lower right orange area, something like a horse's head...gorgeous vivid colors and textures for sure!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Brenda for playing Rorshach with me. I see the eyes and more than one horse. This is a great piece to project your perceptions given the great color and texture. I always enjoy your perceptive projections. It is hard to believe this is bark of a tree after I transform it into what looks more like an abstract painting than a photograph. I wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year and more of your wonderful talent playing hidden pictures with me.
