Canaipa (hemp)'s Sinisentula (Cinderella)

cm 28x21, painted on a piece of hemp coming from an old sheet. It is my figuration of a fairy-tale in the local speech (bisiaco) of the place I was born, S. Pier d'Isonzo (Gorizia) in North-Eastern Italy. In this story Cinderella is seen as "Sinisentula" and has to do with an envious sister and with a bad stepmother. But eventually, with the support of geese and ducks she succedeed, met a prince, got married with him and would become able to get perfectly ripe apples from a tree at every time of the year...
