Birth, Life, Death, Infinity

When I die I will go into this chalice called Infinity. My life will then become the sacred bread on which I will nourish future generations with what I have accomplished or failed to accomplish. My actions that I take this very day will ripple out into the sea of the universe and be cast upon some distant foreign shore. My actions, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem to be, will leave their imprint in the future sands of time. It is this Karmic bond I make with eternity. I do not live alone and cannot escape this reality. I stand on the shoulders of those who came before me and future generations will stand on mine. Such is the continuum of time and space. Newton claimed as his third law that "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". The physics described by this axiom are undeniable. But I speak of a "physics" for the soul. A "physics" of mutual fates and fortunes, a Kismet, that cannot be escaped or forgotten. A fate that is drawn together by the overwhelming attraction called destiny. It is this truth, the truth, that what I do to another I do to myself. And the knowledge and understanding that all of my actions, no matter how big or how small, have consequences. My decisions and actions of today are the seeds that will find root in some yet unknown soil and will bear either sweet or sour fruits. It is in this garden of the future where my deeds done today will find their ultimate fruition. visionary imagist "Joey"

what an intriguing image of change and infinite unity. I like the way you used the symbolic chalice. It gives this a sense of history. It is beautifully painted in brilliant colors in contrast to the mist floating behind. I feel a sense of movement from the known to the unknown and back again.

Artist Reply: John; I have painted for different churches and temples. I have found the "sacred" paintings always a point of interest for me and an enjoyment as well. i am glad that you enjoyed this little oil.

Most Excellent, Joey!

Joey....brillant art! The image is perfection! Your words remind me of The Dash Poem...I will send it to you...It talks about the importance of your life in between the two dates on your grave. I esp. love the last sentence and wish everyone felt this way.

Artist Reply: Jessica: What a lovely poem you sent me. i had not ever read it before. thank you for sending it to me.

Joey, joung...full grown...old... a subtile symbolism captured in delicate leaves. All these phases of life come, at last, together in this chalice...this symbolic Holy Grail of the convenant that once was... between God and us humans... of life and death.

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: very insightful and profound comment. i do appreciate you taking the time and sharing your words with me. Thank you

Astoundingly beautiful words and imagery my great friend and spiritual brother. I find myself thinking long and meditating much on such thoughts as these this time of year. Even more so when the sorrow and sadness of so many, especially children, fill my heart to overflowing and cause my tears to feel like blood seeping from a wound. If only people realised how precious love is and how every action of love, especially towards those whom we don't even know, vastly effect such unfortunate hearts and pile up in heaven as our great reward someday. Oh if only people cared more and loved the Lord more.....my prayers are with you dear friend

Artist Reply: Tahnja: I always look forward to seeing your name upon my screen. Your insightful and wise remarks always make feel inspired. I hope all is well with you and that the upcoming holiday and new year are truly blessed.
