This one is cool. The strong contrast between the richly colored foreground and desaturated background creates a beautiful sense of depth. As powerful as the forground id, my eye is drawn continuously to the shallow water. Good work. Let's see some more.

Artist Reply: Thank-you. I loved watercolor painting as a child. Growing up my mother would always buy me watercolor sets and tracing paper as a treat. She knew it would keep me busy for hours. Now, my heart is tied between watercolors and pastels. I also like to visit Devil's Lake State Park where the view is as inspiring. I like to take my pastels and sketch while my husband models for me while he is fishing.

Artist Reply: It is a high cliff and when it is windy the waters are rough below. When it is calm, people swim beneath. I havenot seen any ducks yet:)
