Times Square meets Picadilly Circus

This one began as a dark, dark scene with lots of red and black and got continually lighter. There are at least six layers of colours (acrylics, gouache, glimmer, oil wax) and even sand involved here. Looking at it I DO see elements of Times Square but also the fountains of Londons Picadilly Circus. And that is as it should be: London and New York are two of the Cities I love best.

There is a lot to see; it's vivid, a life, ever moving and for me hopeful! Splendid abstract work like it has to be! GREAT!

You know B that does rather come across as a creation of the two - AE, eh? Bewdy ~:0)

Artist Reply: Yeah, it does. Originally when the colours went lighter it looked a lot like Times Square. The Picadilly Circus "imprint" happened towards the end of the process. A bit weird, but there you go: art. Thank you for your comment!

Beautiful. Those layers really show through. Very rich in texture and the way the colors move from warm to cool at the bottom is wonderful

Artist Reply: Welcome back, John. It was quite a process but I am very happy with it now.

Well, it is such a long time ago I visited Picadilly Circus, and NYC I never saw with my own eyes, but if I remember the first and if I dream of both places - I see and feel exactly those colors and mood! A great and dynamic fine art work!!!

Artist Reply: A wonderful comment, thank you!

I really like this one and how it turned out, I like the course texture and the overlaying colors, it also has kind of a sponaneous feel..like here and now...cool piece

Artist Reply: Thank you, Pete! It's been kind of rough to get there because I went through so many moods while doing it but, yeah, I guess it is actually really cool. At least that is my feeling if I look at it and you just confirmed it for me. Thanks!
