This really makes me wonder what you were feeling when you painted this. I really like it and find the shapes and how they intertwine very intriguing. It feels like a great book that's hard to put down - it has a lot of motion although it is standing still. I love it!

This may have been meant to be underwater sea life, James, but I see pick-axes, a long handled spoon and a tangle of cords holding it all together. I guess I've been an abstractionist for too long. :) The way you gave everything a multi-faceted look really makes this work.

Artist Reply: Charles, this is the kind of complex entanglement that appeals to me, and hope to many others too! thank you for your indepth look into the details!
