Demo Tape Cover

The Cover of my Graduation Demo Tape. i Graduated in March 2003, from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an Associates Degree in Computer Animation. I was really inpressed with my Demo Tape. with a 2 minute and 10 second running time, it came out very finalized. its a done piece of work. it has a game design demo (Blood Beasts), 2d animation clips (R Guardians [Rok vs the Robot], and a 3d version of Rock Rottweiler (Rok). the cover was lots of fun.

fine job,,,i've done several CD covers--so i do appreciate the effort required!!

Artist Reply: thankyou Elton! yes, ive done a few party flyers for birthdate events at clubs for ppl and events. i really enjoyed making this, its really nice that i have a copy of the actual printed VHS lol omg do i feel old! we couldve just exported them all to CD when graduating but for some reason the instructors felt VHS was still important to know back then in 2003.... my biggest regret with this project was Nicknaming it "EMO" because i imagined it to be pronounced "Ehhmmo" like short for "Demo", a shortened Demo. at that time I actually did NOT know what Emo even meant, let alone that back in 2003 so many ppl hated Emo music. lol maybe if i wouldve named it better, i couldve gotten a job in my field??? haha turned out Art Institutes were a scam, noone got a job, not sure what they did with all those important Demo Tapes.....

I love all the colors! Dreamy, childlike and inviting.

Artist Reply: sorry im just noticing these comments, in 2003 i was just making this, just having graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Computer Animation degree. it came out so well and colorful. the coloring was very easy, the backgrounds i added together were actually sketches without color. i then added a single color layer and overlapped and added shadows and highlights. i figured out a style of digital coloring and ran with it. i still use those techniques on my phone art during inktober and march of the robots now

very nice

Artist Reply: thanks, it wasnt too hard to do, back then i drew every morning in college for an hour on my own. so i had so many drawings to pull from, that i simply collaged some of my fave backgrounds in a fitting layout, then composited the 3d model on front. i wish i could post the animation, perhaps on youtube
