Oh I love the colors in this painting. The painting itself is amazing but I especially love it in the blues!

Artist Reply: Thanks Michael. There is something about those cold silent northern nights that is difficult to put into words - just as difficult to try and put into a picture. Nature mixed the color; I just tried to copy her. Winter is upon us again but I have not had the urge [yet] to paint that typically silent north cold.

Lovely cold blue's (paynes grey is a wonderful color!) making this winter scene even feel more cold!

wow..how wonderful is this Faye! Love the silence the wolves the sun looking over the mountains. Well, nature in all it's glory!

Artist Reply: In our far north, when the temperature drops down to below 35 - 40 degrees F. there is an eerie silence that is intriguing. When painting nature, there is more than just the sight but also the feeling. The marriage of these two things in a painting is the ultimate that we try to duplicate - and fail miserably; yet we must keep on trying and trying for the perfect one. Thanks for stopping by Annette.
