Surreal Window on the Universe

I have heard it explained that before I was born my conscious state coexisted with my unconscious. There was no difference between them they were the same. But upon my birth they shattered in two, leaving me to believe that my waking state was separated from my dreaming state. But how can that be I have only one mind? How can I have two mind states with only one mind? It must be an illusion that my mind fashions. It is the grandest of self-deceptions. Thinking the two states are different. And this waking state seems to feed the dreaming state with events that occur while I am conscious. That is why I dream about local events, circumstances, people, places and things. Yet, every so often I dream about something that I have never seen, witnessed or could possibly be a part of. How can it be that I dream such dreams? Well, the answer might be that each one of us is a little piece, a microcosm, of the universe. We are all connected to this universe, the macrocosm, by our very existence. And it is through this existence that we are able to share together those events, circumstances, people, places and things. Archetypes that are universal and all pervading. These archetypes connect us with each other. We, really are all brothers and sisters joined together through this Universal Mind. Call it God, Creator, Almighty, Supreme Being or whatever one choses the fact remains that we dream collectively and collectively we will return from that place from which we all started. visionary imagist "Joey"

Fantastic piece. This surreal image is so imaginative with fascinating imagery like the door that offers us a portal to another dimension (I just heard the music of the twilight zone). Your text is a perfect pairing with your surreal window onto the wilderness. I wish more people would understand your important message about living together united, not divided in the universe as your beautifully painting suggests in the visual metaphor of the door with open space for all to share as one "universal mind." Jung spoke of the collective unconscious that connects us through the powerful archetypes of the personal and collective unconscious. You have an amazing way of connecting your powerful words with your evocative images.

Artist Reply: Julie; I am a fan of your art as well. i appreciate your insightful and wise comment. I enjoy Jung and his writings. Again thank you for your sharing with me. i do so value and appreciate your words.

wonderful message. and I find this image very peaceful. Maybe because there is space around the doorway or window and it is obviously not closing off anything. there is really no seperation.

Artist Reply: John; I love to paint these kind of paintings. they are freeing.

the added, surrealistic details to outer space fantasy are remarkable and evocative

Artist Reply: Joe: I enjoy Dali and the other surrealist. I think Dali was one of the most prolific and creative artist. I have been to his gallery in St. Petersburg and fell in love with his works all over again.

There are many rooms in my Father's house. I dream about this house and exploring the rooms. There are never any locked doors, they are always open. There are chambers in the mind, and each cell is an individual unit. They all connect, unless you buid a partition or lock a door. I'm reminded of a Bob Dylan song "Talking World War III Blues" and the line "I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours,"

Artist Reply: Timothy: Thank you for your insightful comments. I do so appreciate you taking the time to stop by and sharing. I value your opinions as I also value your artwork as well. Thank you again!

Amen Joey! We are stirred up from the 12 stardusts all those minerals where our body is made of. We are from the same source that's why we start to think now as One and whole Joey! Leave the thoughts of seperate or opposites. Our dreams reveil alot of where we were once or going to. Time does not excist at all. Wish like you people will awake and notice that are no differences and than there will be eternal peace. Thanks for your wonderful art Joey!
