a gentle presence

Female Whitetail Deer - Photo taken on September 1, 2007 near the cities zoo, but not in it, she is wild & free. Not unusual to see deer roaming the riverbanks, grazing the gardens and even roaming the city streets. They are treated with the utmost respect. As you see, this deer was very calm. She is very slim, & very young. Hope you all have a week of delightful surprises. :o)

WOW!!! This is amazing Les...how in the world did you get so close...she's gorgeous!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you Laurie, I was so surprised that she let me get so close, before having to turn on my zoom a little. Mind you she was in an area where there is always a lot of people around, walking, biking etc.. I have found that they are like that here, but come hunting season, they know to make them selves scarce. Very smart animals white tail deer. Got to love them! :o)
