Perfectly cal
A perfectly calm morning in Banff National Park; a silence hung over the valley as if the world was not quite awake; even the wildlife was not yet up and about.

Nope. It's the camera and poor lighting - digital cameras do not do the job of a good 35mm and film. I need a lightly overcast day to film art and the weather does not always co-operate and indoor filming needs special lighting.
It is definitely oils. Thanks for stopping.
Artist Reply: Thanks EMily
It was early fall when nights were chilly and almost frosty that caused mists in the mountain valleys. That green monochrome colors was put there in that valley on that morning by Mother Nature - I just copied her palette.
Beautiful painting,,, I adore the greens in this, the tone is so peaceful.. feels very real
Artist Reply: This is real and I was there early that morning. I painted most of this on location and the weather muse did co-operate and held the mist off until mid morning. The traffic was light thru the park that morning and I was grateful for the solitary.
