WASHDAY, VENICE

I used ink and pastel, with minimum colours to create texture and atmosphere. I wanted to convey the crumbling buildings, and heavy doors by the canal in Venice

Very Nice, why dont you list it on PLATINUMGALLERY.CO.UK? I have got my art on there and it seems its doing well, they market you artwork online and offline and commission is only 15% on each sale! Thats the cheapest iv seen on the net!Everyone is saying that its going to be the new place to sell art online in the UK. I dont know, just a thought

Artist Reply: Hi, I have just looked at Platinum Gallery. Which is your work? I recognise a few names from other sites I'm on. I joined anyway, so thanks for the tip! Did I ask if you would vote for me in a cover comp. at www.artsupplies.co.uk Thanks!!! Susan

You have succeeded greatly in rendering the atmosphere of such old houses, Susan. I love the colours, almost duo tone. I also like the light on this painting a lot!
