That butterfly, I believe, is called a "Peacock Butterfly", it is dull brown on the underside, but when it opens it's wings, it is beautiful blues, oranges and pinks, iridescent.

I have never seen that species before , and the beautiful little hand that its perching on, both precious oh add the photograph that allow us this pretty view! all three are precious! The butterfly , the little hand , the photograph, oh wait #4 is the very pretty mom that took the photograph ...so all four are beautiful!
