The simplicity of a neighborhood lamppost against the striking and enhanced colors create a surreal image by juxtaposing a familiar object with a painterly otherworldy skyskape. I took two of the same photo to show how differently we perceive the same image by altering the color backdrop in this vibrant colorful display of a beautiful sunset. Depending on one's imagination, this could be an aquatic scene from an alien landscape given the unusual and powerful use of color in contast with the dark image of a common object.
