Orange Square

I sewed layers of fabric together, with the most colorful pieces on the bottom. Then I cut the piece into small squares and created this mosaic like fiber piece with the most colorful bits at the bottom layer so they only peek out. The orange square in the center manages to be the focal point even though it's only a small bit of embroidery so the whole piece is named for it. (15"x15") SOLD

well done Elizabeth !

Artist Reply: I've been asked by a local gallery to create more fiber pieces for an upcoming exhibit so I think I'll do a series based on this idea.
