Breaks between storms don't necessarily mean the surf levels go down. I left out the fence at the top of the nearest bluff for aesthetic reasons, but it's there to keep people from putting themselves in jeopardy off that cliff. Every year folks perish from carelessness and curiosity to get that definitive look over the edge.
